Izzi Gomez
Izzi Gomez, formerly of Anna Maria Island, won the women’s 2015 World Title in the Stand Up Paddling World Tour at Huntington Beach, Cal., beating Mariko Strickland in the final and impressing the judges with her strength, speed and flow. It’s her second world title at the U.S. Open of Stand Up Paddling.
