HOLMES BEACH – After 14 years in Anna Maria, AMI Outfitters has relocated to Holmes Beach.
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., AMI Outfitters is now located at 5337 Gulf Drive, Suite 200, Holmes Beach, near the Freckled Fin.
Jennifer and Dave Hagey purchased AMI Outfitters in September 2022 and reopened under their ownership in October 2022.
When discussing the recent move, Jennifer said, “We closed our Pine Avenue location on July 3 after 14 wonderful years there and officially reopened in Holmes Beach on July 6. It was a whirlwind 48-hour move, but thanks to an incredible team and the overwhelming support of our community, we were ready to welcome customers on opening day.
“I want our loyal customers to know that moving off Pine Avenue was never our decision. We were fully prepared for an increase in rent and were committed to remaining in our longtime location. Relocating our family-owned business in the middle of peak summer season was never part of our business plan,” Jennifer said.
“After the building changed ownership, we discussed a long-term lease. Instead, we were informed that the new owners needed the space for their own business operations and asked us to vacate within 30 days. It was an incredibly difficult situation, but we immediately focused our efforts on finding a new home so we could continue serving our customers without interruption. We’ll miss our neighboring businesses and being part of the Pine Avenue community, where AMI Outfitters called home for the past 14 years,” she said.
While she’ll miss the Anna Maria location, Jennifer looks forward to what lies ahead in Holmes Beach.
“With change comes opportunity and possibility. This move has given us the chance to reimagine our space while building new relationships with neighboring businesses and becoming part of another wonderful Island community.”
After a week or so at the new location, Jennifer said, “The support has been incredible. Locals and visitors alike have gone out of their way to find us once they learned we’d moved. We’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and hope that support continues.”

Guests can expect the same warm, welcoming small-shop experience they know and love, now in a space that’s even more intimate, elevated and reflective of our vision for the brand,” Jennifer said.
